W. Emerson Brantley III, BA, MCL, CME


Emerson Brantley has an extensive history of over 30 years of marketing and business funding expertise, and serves on the board of directors of several marketing and international funding companies in the US and UK. As a key member of the senior management teams, his provided direct marketing expertise and business coaching for quantum growth, resulting in three companies' public offerings. His marketing efforts propelled one company through 1495% growth, TWO Inc. 500 listings, a successful merger, and a €132,000,000 IPO.

In 1993 Emerson created what many consider his most famous marketing campaign, beginning with a lead-generating "special report" he wrote called the "Cash Flow Generator." First testing it using direct mail and online, he then developed the first of four profitable national television infomercials to promote it. His unbeaten "Cash Flow Generator" is still in use today, making it the longest-running profitable lead-generating infomercial of all time, But this wasn't his first long-running campaign. That occured sixteen years earlier, in 1977, when he created a desktop sales film used unchanged for twelve years. This film, along with his sales and marketing collateral he wrote, was used by sales representatives around the world as their primary presentation tools up until 1990. And he's developed thousands of others along the way.

In fact, Mr. Brantley has specialized in creating cost-effective direct response marketing to drive in more traffic, convert more prospects, and generate more dollars per customer for his clients.

So, what really makes him any different from any other marketer, copywriter or business consultant? Unlike most in marketing, Emerson has a unique understanding of the sales process. Ten years of his career was spent in direct, face-to-face sales, sales management and sales training for a variety of companies, products and services, including his own. For example, his walkaround presentation was used as sales training by Southeast Toyota in 166 dealerships across five states. Emerson Brantley knows more than how to do flashy marketing and advertising pieces... he knows sales.

He has used this understanding as a copywriter and direct marketing expert to create over 6,000 direct response campaigns, with up to 11% front-end response rates on cold mailings; direct mail conversion rates as high as 74.1%, and highly-profitable back-end campaigns averaging as much as $1952 per customer (with a $49 entry point!).

One of the earliest direct marketers to incorporate online marketing (since that first test in 1993, a year before the "World Wide Web"), he developed and directed highly-effective e-commerce programs with up to 21% click-thru rates and conversion rates as high as 41.55% - 67.8%; increased website traffic to 100,000 users or more per day; developed affiliate programs with over 3400 affiliates; produced opt-in email campaigns of up to one million a day and built opt-in email lists for his clients up to 40,000 subscribers.

He has developed successful marketing strategies for companies as diverse as Fortune 100 industrial giant Fruehauf Corporation; transportation leader Emery Worldwide (receiving their national Special Recognition Award); Bronz-Glow international industrial coatings, seminar and training innovator SDI Wealth Institute, International Media Holdings, and America's oldest non-profit, American Forests, where he increased the customer database 298%, quadrupling catalog sales. In addition, Emerson has worked closely with the national office of Veterans of Foreign Wars, the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the Wright Brothers National Memorial at Kitty Hawk, and many other organizations.

He has been involved in business coaching and funding since the mid-nineties, when he served as part of the team that took a company public, creating the business plan and meeting with lenders. In the process, he gained funding contacts here and overseas. Through his work with WorldwideAngels, Emerson expanded his experience and lender contacts, analyzing hundreds of business plans and matching companies with funding resources. He continues to personally work with businesses to help them find the funding they need.

Emerson has written or co-authored several business books: "The Maxims of Marketing," "Internet Profits Now;" "How It Gets Done," "21 Secrets of Real Estate Millionaires;" "Success From The Inside Out" (Fall 2007), as well as many courses, manuals, sales pieces, and guest feature articles.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Florida State University, and holds international professional listings in Who's Who of Business Leaders Worldwide and Certified Marketing Executives. He has served on many civic, business and non-profit boards, and is Past President of Sales & Marketing Executives.

Rud Bergfeld brings 35 years of national and international business experience in over 70 countries. Previous corporate positions with Fortune 100 companies such as General Motors, Honeywell and Computer Sciences Corporation provided the experience for establishment of his own Dun & Bradstreet listed Investment Banking firm specializing in creative financing for hard-to-finance projects.

A Navy veteran decorated by the U.S. and three foreign governments, Rud served on a State Economic Development Commission and was an Advisor to the Algerian government on matters of high technology. He also served as a visiting speaker to the Business College of International Understanding at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. and keynote speaker at the International Trade Association

Rud's extensive background includes all facets of management. He was instrumental in taking one privately-held company from USD $11,000,000 to USD $100,000,000 dollars in four years, moving its stock from fifty cents a share to $25 dollars a share cash by selling the company to an international conglomerate. During one ten-year period his sales for his companies exceeded one billion dollars.

His book, "Dollar$ and $en$e," has been praised nationally by investment bankers and money brokers. His "Employ Your Education" book and seminars have been taught for years to college and technical school graduates, military personnel, and women reentering the workforce.

Rud is listed in Who's Who of American Industry and Who's Who in America (Marquis Edition) and is recognized internationally in his field.

D.C. Hawk, IT & Web Design Management

David Hawk has over 18 years of experience in Novell and Window's NT/2000 Server Environments, and is a Certified Novell Administrator. He has created customized software systems for clients to track radio, television and direct mail projects, as well as a complete system to run an automated radio station! As head of IT, Dave is involved at every level of e-commerce development and programming.

In 2005, the U.S. Army saw fit to re-up Dave, and he spent over a year serving in Iraq, attached to an Iraqi unit in Baghdad. He has now returned safely and jumped right back into a complicated project for one of our clients, a customized CRM program that interfaced with several industries. We're glad to have him back!


Fred Pollnitz, Art Direction, Web Design

With 16 year's expertise in graphic design & ad layout, Fred has keen insight on clients' needs and the fastest ways to design and deliver their project. Fred was hand-selected by Britain's Office for National Statistics (ONS - similar to the U.S. Census Bureau) for their top design position. He turned their new and ambitious strategy to make centuries of data easily accessible via the Web into reality. After relocating to the U.S., he grew and managed one of the oldest web services in Florida.

He has up-to-date mastery of all major Graphics, Illustration and Publishing applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Golive, InDesign, Quark, MacroMedia Freehand, Director and Flash, Dreamweaver, 3D Studio Max and many more. He received his degree in Advertising Design from the University of Maryland. Fred is adept in all areas of Apple Macintosh systems including system design, integration, purchase, set-up and networking; software installation and customization; system troubleshooting and maintenance; as well as data back-up and physical and data security. He is uniquely "cross-platform" trained in IBM (PC) systems as well.

 


Ben Sanders, Database-Driven Enterprise Website Design

Coming from sales and marketing, Ben understands balancing website usability, functionality and design. Ben is also proficient in web design, and has a unique intuitive ability to merge functionality with the right look and feel for stunning, high performance, database-driven sites. Small wonder that, when a Fortune 100 company needed talented "new blood" to re-create their online presence last year, Ben was their first choice.

Ben has 8 years of web design, development, and internet marketing experience, excelling in complete web design, integrating to third party solutions, and redesigning existing sites. He has created content management solutions, classified ad sites, auction applications, online shopping carts, and vast intranets/extranets with reporting and ordering capabilities for clients.

Our strategic marketing team is led by Trish Michaels, with 25 years experience in branding, marketing, research, advertising and corporate communications. Trish's unique approaches and processes were developed from her successes in hundreds of projects within diverse industries. For the 15 years she has operated her own agency, Sapphire Moon, and works especially well with clients who want to position themselves as leaders in their field, and those who want to dominate their market.



C. Charlotte Pollnitz, Search Engine Optimization & Keyword Placement

Born in South Africa and raised in London, Charlotte attended the University of Westminister, London, where she obtained a BA in Communication Studies, specializing in print journalism.
She worked as a freelance journalist for various British publications and community based projects, until 1990, when she visited the United States. She worked in San Diego and Virginia, eventually working on Capitol Hill as a press intern/media assistant for the Labor Committee, headed by Sen. Ted Kennedy.

In 1992 she met her husband Fred and they relocated back to London. For several years she owned a café and art gallery. Following the successful sale of that business, she returned to media journalism, working on assignments on both sides of the Atlantic.

Relocated to the US in 2002, where she has applied her investigative writing skills and knowledge of web technologies as Web3direct's Search Engine Optimization Specialist.
